Board of Directors
As a youth-led organization, we pride ourselves in having youth involvement at every level--including on our Board of Directors! This means there are both youth and alumni of government care assisting in the direction of the SYICCN. It is incredibly important to stick to the heart of the organization, which started as a grassroots movement, and ensure that youth voices and lived experiences are present in everything we do.
As such, we are governed by a Board of Directors that includes young people in and from government care (aged 18 to 24), youth alumni (over the age of 25), and some amazing adult supports who have many years behind them working with and supporting youth. Board members meet throughout the year to help guide the SYICCN's projects and programming.
